We envision to do this by creating a digital eco system, which is easy to access. Our platform allows aspiring individuals to join our programme where we guide and empower them to unlock their full Potential and inspire them to reach great heights and achieve their personal and professional goals.
ABOUT THE PROGRAM
Our mentorship program is designed for both mentors and mentees to help them gain and enhance their professional skills. The program offers different mentoring pathways for both members and non-members.
As part of this mentoring program you will be paired with an experienced and certified mentor who will guide you through the path and is dedicated to support you as you achieve your goals. Mentors work with their mentees to help them build an understanding of:
Australian workplace culture
Give an insight to mentee’s profession/industry
Occupationally specific professional networks to assist them to achieve their career goals
In return, the mentors benefit by enhancing their leadership, mentoring and cultural competency skills while working with a mentee.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Do I have to be a PMI member to participate in the mentoring program?
Yes. This initiative is for the benefit of PMI Canberra Chapter Members. Please see our Membership page for more information.
Will my Mentor help me find a job?
No – this is not the primary purpose of the mentoring program. However, the skills you acquire through the mentoring relationship will assist you if you are seeking new employment or career advancement.
I don’t live in Canberra – can I still participate?
Yes, you can, as long as you are a PM Canberra member. Our digital platform allows anyone in Australia to become a part of the mentoring program.
How often do Mentors and Mentees meet?
Our mentoring program is a structured program. The meetings frequency will depend on the pathway that you select. Please refer to the program pathways to find out more.
What happens if the mentoring partnership is not working?
We understand that there will be times when a pairing does not work. The mentoring team undertakes regular health checks to identify any issues. Our program provides a built –in feedback process after every session which gives an opportunity to the member to record what’s working and not working in the session. Our mentoring team diligently looks at the feedbacks provided by our members. We also encourage all parties to have open and honest conversations about the mentoring relationship.
